EvadX Ltd first instructed Parks Fabrications in 2022 and they continue to be a loyal client today. With Deansgate Manchester the client came to Parks Fabrication with concerns that there were some complex Virendeel Girders that were very tight on tolerances on a high rise development located in Manchester City Centre. The client was looking to source the 84 Virendeel Girders from one supplier and due to our 180 tonne per week capacity this is something we were able to assist with. After some in depth discussions around design and specification they decided to use Parks Fabrication to fabricate the steel for the entire project (not just the 84 Virendeel Girders) and this consisted of 800 tonnes.

Our team was heavily involved from the outset assisting with everything from design and specification queries through to fabrication, painting and delivery. The client also took the opportunity and visited Parks to see our net zero facility as it fit closely with their culture and ethos and sustainability objectives. When it came to the complexity of the Virendeel Girders, we fabricated a jig to check that the important connections were all the same for each part produced ensuring a smooth installation. By fabricating a jig this ensured that when the building was erected it meant that the phased installation ran in a timely manner allowing other trades to complete their work simultaneously and reduced delays saving costs in other areas.
